Curavox ("we", "us", "our") operates the Hana mobile application ("Hana", "the App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use Hana.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Email address and display name provided during registration.

Voice Data: When you speak to Hana, your voice is temporarily processed for speech-to-text conversion. We do not store raw audio recordings. Only the text transcript is saved.

Conversation History: Text transcripts of your conversations with Hana are stored to provide continuity and context across sessions.

Health Information: Medications, conditions, allergies, and symptoms you voluntarily share with Hana. This information is stored to build your health profile.

Memories: Facts you share (family names, preferences, schedules) that help Hana assist you better.

Mood Data: Emotional state indicators derived from conversations to help Hana provide appropriate support.

Location Data: Approximate location (GPS) used only for weather information and emergency service routing (911/119). Location is not tracked continuously.

Device Contacts: Accessed only when you ask Hana to call or text someone not in your Hana contacts. Contact data is not uploaded or stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve Hana's AI assistant services
To remember your preferences, health information, and personal context
To set and deliver medication and appointment reminders
To generate health trend insights and wellness check-ins
To share alerts with family members you explicitly authorize
To route emergency calls to the appropriate local number

3. Data Sharing

Family Members: If you choose to add family members, they can view your reminders, health profile, and receive wellness alerts. You control who has access.

Third-Party Services: We use the following services to operate Hana:

Supabase — Database and authentication (data encrypted at rest)
Anthropic (Claude) — AI conversation processing (conversations are not used to train AI models)
Deepgram — Speech-to-text conversion (audio is not retained)
ElevenLabs — Text-to-speech conversion (text is not retained)

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Data Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to your data is restricted by row-level security policies — only you (and authorized family members) can access your information.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

Hana is designed for adult users, particularly elderly individuals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent for family sharing at any time

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App.
